Well...as a disabled artist, I have spent my fair share of time in a wheelchair. I started to see a disturbing trend arise. Everywhere I went, I began
to see the politically correct absurdity our society calls "expectant mother parking". As a woman I feel for the physical inconveniences pregnancy brings. However, though some may find this offensive, I personally believe that if an expectant mother can spend a couple of hours on her feet shopping, she can certainly waddle the extra fifty feet to reach her car. Besides, if your disabled and pregnant...how do you know where to park?

I created this rug after I was car-jacked at gunpoint by two thugs. While I was not physically injured, the experience did blow a hole in my psyche. I tend to have a gallows/black sense of humor, so this was the "sign" I came up with to help me process the experience. I LOVE watching people's reaction. This piece measures approx 4' x 6' and is the centerpiece of a series called "Holes".

"Sign" was spotted in Stockholm, Sweden. Perhaps expressing a cerain horror vacuui (spelling?) about leaving anything blank, or maybe to discourage inventiveness by passersby.

"Stations of the Cross" is from an annual Good Friday processional in my neighborhood, where the stations are marked on local streets and the procession stops, with someone bearing the cross, to make an observance at each station.

Does "Grand Belcher" indicate the proximity of a natural wonder?
