"Infierno" as you probably guessed, translates as "Hell." It seems that 80 years ago or so, they were building the highway that passes nearby and cut down a prodigious number of trees, which they ended up burning here. The burning went on for days, and the smoke and flames prompted people to call this area "Infierno." Most of the buildings look like what you see in the background, so it still looks like hell.
