Description/Anecdote About the Sign:
As I noted previously, when our new mayor took office, there was an uptick in efforts to speak plainly through signage about the region's serious existential issues. Since my last report, I've also noticed more responsiveness to community concerns about this important kind of communication.
Last time I called Boston's new signage a bit “brusque” in its approach. It's obvious that my complaints were heard, as my neighborhood is now peppered with this much softer, gentler style of signage. No more sharp edges or stark red letters!
And the city continues to transcend the old regime's endless focus on parking....
