The one about warthogs is from the Nairobi Game Park.

The “painting” sign is also located in Nairobi.

My favorite sign is one that I have passed two or three times on a road in the desert in southern Utah when driving across the country. Unfortunately, I never took a picture. It is located on a stretch of road through country that is absolutely flat, unvegetated, and generally desolate. It reads: “If you lived here, you’d be home now.”

English, by definition, is an infinite language. Pairs of nouns and their corresponding verbs infinitely center-embed within a sentence. While the sentence maintains its grammatical structure, human capacity prevents the sentence from preserving its meaning past the 3rd embedding. Capacity and memory limit our perception of the English language, distorting its semantic representation while maintaining its syntax.

In light of our potential, the emphasis is on syntactic representation, allowing us to interpret the English language without the limitation of content.
