Hello dear comrades
Here is my performance dealing with the stupid idea of the borders created artificially by us, idiotic people ( ooooh the foreiner you must shit when you are entering the boarders of the great empire called uuuusssssaaaaaa ) .
I did it exactly on the border (the stream of the brook-between germany and czech republic. The sign says: Attention. The state borders are created by the stream of the brook. I alternated it to" stream of the thoughts".
Greetings from Plzen
Have a nice anarchistic dream.

These signs are part of a series of street surveys I've been putting up around town. Each asks a question about community or public space that people can answer by removing a slip of paper at the bottom. More of these signs can be seen here: http://timdevin.com/broadsides-streetsurveys.html

1. The picture of the car with legs says in Portuguese "Come Car Auto Wash" but it has a double entendre because of the pronunciation of "car" in Portuguese sounding like the one of the ways to say "here" (cá), so it also says "Come Here Auto Wash".

2. The billboard says "Whichever way, you read"

3. The stop sign says "STOP eating animals"

This was taken by the waterfront in the very beautiful town of Kuopio, Finland. The town posted many signs like this one in surprising places to remind visitors and citizens of their mortality and their impending disappearance from all memory. Each sign has a different animal, plant, or human shape fading into whiteness. Coming from the Northeast of the US, where most signs are related to parking, I found this a very moving public service.

The images I post to Facebook are the first draft of a book of images documenting my life in 2011. The book is straightforward, a document, and will be titled "Cellphone Images 2011". It is automatic real time dependent on chance and willfully basic.

2. A subdivision built around a nondenominational mega-church in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The land is segregated from adjacent residential and commercial zones by accidental barricades: an interstate and other structural fragments. An enclosed system; power & space. No windows.
