The following submission is a documentary photography project around the vicinity of Yelahanka New Town, Bangalore. These are pictures of the multitudinous white people on hoardings and advertisement boards in suburban India. Shot as documentary and 'real' photos, these images are an attempt to look at the ways in which the allure of white skin functions in my surroundings making these foreign people quite 'present' around me. The photo series exists as a zine/book on my website (link), I am attaching a few of the really evocative ones as my submission.
